Honeybush
South Africa
Rooibos's sweeter cousin, with notes of honey and apricot. Naturally sweet, naturally comforting.
The Story
Honeybush grows wild in South Africa's Eastern Cape, named for the honey-like scent of its flowers. Like rooibos, it's caffeine-free and naturally sweet, but with a distinctly different character—more honey and stone fruit, less vanilla and wood. It's less well-known than rooibos but equally worthy.

Like rooibos, honeybush doesn't get bitter with long steeping. The honey sweetness means many people don't need added sweetener. Makes excellent iced tea. Try blending with rooibos for a South African duo.
