Jin Xuan (Milk Oolong)
Taiwan
Naturally creamy, with notes of butter and milk—no flavoring needed. Gentle and approachable.
The Story
Developed in Taiwan in the 1980s, Jin Xuan (#12) was bred for its natural milky, creamy character. Authentic Jin Xuan is never artificially flavored—the creamy taste comes from the terroir and processing. It's become one of Taiwan's most popular cultivars for its accessible, immediately pleasing character.

Brewing Tips
Slightly cooler water brings out the creamy notes; too hot and they fade. This is an excellent first oolong—forgiving and immediately pleasant. Beware cheap versions with artificial milk flavoring; authentic Jin Xuan has subtle, not overwhelming, creaminess.
