Moonlight White
Yunnan, China
Harvested under moonlight, or so the story goes. Dark and light leaves intertwined, tasting of wildflowers and distant honey.
The Story
Yue Guang Bai is made from Yunnan's large-leaf tea trees, the same ancient varietals used for pu-erh. The name comes from the beautiful contrast of dark leaves and silvery buds—some say from drying under moonlight to avoid the sun. True or not, the romance fits the tea. It has the complexity of Yunnan terroir with the gentleness of white tea processing.
