Phoenix Dancong
Guangdong, China
Single-bush teas that mimic fruits and flowers without any added flavoring. Nature's magic trick.
The Story
Phoenix Mountain's ancient tea trees each produce unique flavors—some taste of orange blossom, others of orchid, almond, or ginger flower. Dancong means 'single bush,' and traditionally each tree was harvested and processed separately. The ability of unflavored tea to taste like fruit or flowers never ceases to amaze.

Brewing Tips
Dancong demands gongfu technique—very short, very hot steeps. The leaves are fragile; don't stir or agitate. Let each steep cool slightly before drinking; hot dancong can be astringent. The fragrance is often stronger than the taste.
